Currently holds the rank of 7th Dan and is one of the highest ranking Americans actively teaching the traditional Tang Soo Do art (Korean Karate) today. All Master Scott's senior instructor promotions come from Grandmaster Hwang, Kee, the founder of the Moo Duk Kwan style, Grandmaster Lee, Kang Uk, and Grandmaster Andy Ah Po, all acknowledged authorities on the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan style of Korean Karate.

Learned under the tutelage of several prominent Korean Masters over a twenty-five year period, thirteen of which were under the direct instruction of Master Hyun Chul Hwang, son of the founder of the Moo Duk Kwan style, Grandmaster Hwang, Kee. Has trained in directly under Grandmaster Hwang, Kee in clinics, seminars, and Master's examinations. Represented Grandmaster Lee, Kang Uk in the United States as Chief Instructor of the International Tang Soo Do Federation, U.K. from 1993 to 1997. Served as President of the Tang Soo Do Moo Do Kwan Association under Grandmaster Andy Ah Po from 2001 to 2004. Currently President of Traditional Tang Soo Do International with membership in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and the United States.

Has trained in clinic and seminar under many of the most accomplished and knowledgable Okinawan, Japanese, and American masters in the world through associations interested in uniting and promoting respect for Traditional Oriental Martial Arts. These include Master Osamu Ozawa, Master Teruo Chinen, Master Toshihiro Oshiro, Grandmaster Steve L. Martin, Master Ric Pascetta, Master Zempo Shimabuku, Master John McClary, Master Robert Teller, Master Seikichi Oto, and Master Patrick McCarthy.

Documented extensively for accomplishments as a teacher, competitor, and tournament organizer in Martial Arts trade publications such as Black Belt Magazine, Tae Kwon Do Times, Karate Illustrated, International Fighter, and Karate Profiles. Master Scott has appeared on national and regional cable television as a competitor, organizer, and authority on Korean Karate.
